Monday

Our youth soccer program offers a fun, positive, and non-competitive environment where children will learn the fundamentals of soccer. Our coaches use positive reinforcement to teach skills while building confidence. The focal point for this age group is for children to be comfortable with the ball by further developing soccer skills such as dribbling, shooting, and the introduction of passing. Classes include partner activities to promote sharing, listening, respect, and cooperation. Physical activities include dynamic exercises like moving at a pace, changing directions, and lateral agility. These classes will start with a warm-up, continue with skill building, and end with a small-sided scrimmage match.
Join us after-school on Mondays for an experiment in ultimate musical creativity. This multifaceted party/project, led by The Practice Room, is designed to be the perfect antidote to a long Monday at school. Along with music and singing games, we will be learning and deeply engaging with at least one full song and using the song to inspire student-led choreography, props, scripts, and costumes as needed to express our understanding of the music. Our final goal is the creation of an art-filled music video showcasing this mishmash of music, art, theater, and general messiness. It’s going to be cool. *yellow sweatband is included.

Tuesday

Our engineering & robotics students will be constantly building, designing and problem-solving using any materials they can get their hands on. Building challenges will bring structural engineering and physics concepts like friction or weight distribution into focus, while robotics projects will call for the mastery of mechanical engineering concepts like circuitry or conductivity. This course will foster students’ inquisitiveness through constant exposure to new materials and new tools, whether it’s practicing dynamic taping techniques or learning how to use a power drill.

Wednesday

Designated by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage of humanity, Capoeira is a mix of dance, combat, and play. It develops motor skills such as balance, strength, and visual acuity, while stimulating creativity and self-confidence. Students will learn choreographies while listening to the rhythm of the berimbau, caxixi, tambourine, and reco-reco.
In Art Explorers, young artists discover inspiration through the work of both classic and contemporary masters. Students experiment with a wide range of materials and techniques—including watercolor, tempera, printmaking, drawing, collage, papier-mâché, air-dry clay, and more. Each project is designed to support fine motor development, creative thinking, and artistic confidence, while allowing children to express themselves in a fun, supportive environment.

Thursday

Whether your child is a beginner or has already learned the basics of chess, these interactive classes led by Growing Minds will enhance your child’s focus, foster problem-solving and critical thinking and teach the fundamentals of the game. These classes will solidify basic chess rules, review piece movement, introduce chess notation and coordinates, help students learn how to build and execute a plan for different parts of the game and lay the foundation for long-term strategic gameplay. Our expert instructors will assess your child’s skill level, and provide the instruction necessary to build upon their existing skills so they are ready for more advanced classes, tournament play, or Chess Team.

Friday

Little Chefs promotes, through playful and educational activities, the development of healthy habits, the pleasure of preparing meals, taking care of food, and respecting nature. Students will practice oven safety, listening and following directions, creativity, responsibility, teamwork, and measuring. All recipes are allergen-free.
